Flock

Flock is manufactured from nylon rod filaments cut so small that it is difficult to see a single fibre with the naked eye, being almost powder-like in appearance. Polystyrene can be coated in flock to give a coloured velvet look and feel. Flock is available in various colours.

Result

The example shown to the left illustrates the effect when applied to some polystyrene lettering.

The 6.7% example was flocked for a bank window promotion.

Glitter

Glitter is another finish that is often requested by our customers for displays, models, lettering, spheres etc.

Glitter comes in a variety of colours giving your polystyrene product a brilliant sparkle in addition to an eye-catching shine.

The glittered star to the left was made for Carphone Warehouse's Christmas promotion.

Paint

We can paint polystyrene in any colour(s) specified to give a model, exhibition stand, or other polystyrene products a professional appearance.

Result

Painting can totally transform the way polystyrene looks, as well as making it weatherproof and adding surface strength, is a standard finish on many of our products.

Acrylic Sheet

For a truly professional looking product, not much comes close to the finish given with acrylic sheet - pre-cut to the desired shape and applied to the surface of the polystyrene. Available in a multitude of colours and mirror finishes - it's not cheap, but then the best rarely is!
